About

I got clean at the beginning of 1985 and have remained mood and mind altering chemical free, continuously, ever since.

I’m the lead rescuer for Caiman Hunter Reptile Rescue (caimanhunter.com).  I have four horses, 8 caiman, 5 chicks, 2 cats, 3 teenage boys and my wife is pregnant.  I’m a die hard NY Mets & UNC Tar Heels fan. I am a disabled veteran, very patriotic and proud of my service in the USAF.

I’m also an officer in the local chapter of a Member Club in the Red & Gold Nation, I am an instructor at Texas A&M Fire Training School and I retired as a captain in the Fire Department.

Because of family ties I’ll occasionally root for Texas Tech or Texas A&M. I’m a sucker for redheads, I dabble in web design, I like movies, music, girls with tats and/or piercings, anyone who can pull off wearing a plaid mini skirt and I love a good pun.

This blog will be my journey through recovery, stopping along the way to make comments relative to whatever happens to be going on in my life at that time.

Please visit often and comment just as much.  I love hearing from the readers.  Tell me what you think about what I wrote, or the way I write or just whatever comes to mind after reading my posts. And make it easy on yourself to keep up with my blogging by subscribing to this web site with the little button on the side there.

Have a great day!
